Our church is seeking a part-time Outreach Director whose responsibility would be to reach out to the community and find ways to increase community participation in our events and our services. Our Park Pointe campus is located in Rock Hill, South Carolina and provides services for over 265 residents, aged 62 and older.
The candidate who accepts this paid internship experience will spend 200 – 250 hours at PPV during the upcoming summer, paid at a rate of $15.00 per hour.听 He or she will assist the Chaplain in planning and leading bible study, hymn sings, chapel services, resident and staff visits, administrative work, chaplain’s meetings, community celebrations, manager meetings, and other projects. Additional duties include assisting the Chaplain in creating meaningful and liturgically appropriate worship services.听 Worship service duties will entail creating the bulletin (on Canva), hymn selection, liturgy writing, crafting and preaching sermons, and helping to lead Sunday morning worship services.
