Certificate & CE Credits for Foothill High School Students

While there are many summer programs in the region, ³ÉÈËÊÓÆµ Searight Scholars Program (SSP) is designed to offer high school students the skills necessary to navigate current economic demands. The program explores a variety of careers and fosters the development of analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

The courses in the program will include Artificial Intelligence, Global Food Systems, Healthcare, Social Media Marketing Personal Finance and Budgeting, College Admission Preparedness, Financial Aid and scholarships, and business etiquette. Students will be guided in the development of multi-disciplinary skills needed by employers in the region. These skills will be taught by well qualified faculty or experts in the discipline. The instructors will explain concepts and guide students in application of the skills in a variety of activities.

Program

This summer camp runs June 2-4 and is open to students in grades 9 to 12. Seats are limited. Each day begins at 9am and ends at 2pm; lunch will be provided. Students will also complete 2 hours of homework for a total of 15 continuing education (CE) credits through Searight PACE. The certificate is designed to be completed on June 4 with a brief graduation ceremony and certificate. Location is ³ÉÈËÊÓÆµ.

Curriculum

Coupled with an emphasis on Christian business ethics and classroom knowledge, the SSP curriculum will offer students opportunities for reality-based and hands-on education.
