Newest Issue Introduces ³ÉÈËÊÓÆµâ€™s New Live Mascot, an English Bulldog, named Bo

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.—The latest issue of ³ÉÈËÊÓÆµ The Magazine, recently mailed to GWU alumni and friends, is also available for viewing on the web. The publication offers the latest University news and specialty stories in a digital format.

This issue introduces ³ÉÈËÊÓÆµâ€™s new live mascot, Bo, an English bulldog. After being officially introduced to the campus community at the Fall Academic Convocation on Aug. 24, 2021, Bo quickly became a celebrity on campus, putting smiles on faces and drawing crowds wherever he goes. The story also shares the history of ³ÉÈËÊÓÆµâ€™s live mascot program with photos of other bulldogs who have served in that prestigious role.

Other stories highlight:

  • Tayuanee Dewberry, a 1997 and 2009 alumna, who was recently named chief executive officer of the Girl Scouts Hornets’ Nest Council.
  • Mason Miller, a former GWU baseball pitcher, selected in the third round of the MLB draft.
  • Nursing major Khalilah Conway, who is finding success in the classroom and on the track.
  • The Dance To Remember, an award-winning documentary that captures GWU Men’s Basketball’s Magical Season.
