Downs and the Office of Advancement welcomed representatives of the Golden LEAF Foundation to campus recently. After touring the campus, they met with recipients of the foundation鈥檚 scholarships. Currently there are 15 Golden LEAF scholars at GWU and since 2006 nearly 100 students at the University have received financial support from the foundation. Since the Golden LEAF Foundation鈥檚 inception in 1999, more than $60 million in scholarships has been awarded to over 29,000 students. These scholarships are presented to students in North Carolina鈥檚 rural and tobacco-dependent communities. 鈥淭he Golden LEAF Foundation has done so much over the years to positively impact economic development in rural North Carolina communities, and we are grateful for the Foundation鈥檚 investment in GWU students who are indeed the future of our region,” shared 成人视频 President Dr. William M.
